LETTER: Local nursing home treats residents well

To the Editor:

I want to say a big thank you to the Linton Nursing Home. It is a small nursing and rehabilitation home,

A pastor and a dear friend of mine had spent just over a year at the home. He went home to his Lord a couple of weeks ago. I visited my friend at least twice a week most weeks, at different times of the day. Never in all his stay did I ever see him not getting good care . The staff were very caring and kind. His bed and his room were always clean.

He was treated like family. When his wife went to see him,w hich was most every lunch time, the staff treated her like family too, helping her to her car, or any other needs she had. I appreciate you all for showing her love and compassion while her beloved husband was in the home.

Most of us don't like "nursing homes." But we need them! There may come a time when we have a loved one who we are unable to care for and will need to go to a home.

I am so thankful our town has this little nursing home. I appreciate each worker on the family team . You really work as a team. On his wife's behalf, thank you,

I want to say thank you for taking great care of my dear friend. He was a pastor and you treated him with much respect and dignity. You are appreciated! Keep up the good work, and may God bless you all.
