UPDATED: Missing child located

Monday, April 25, 2016

The toddler reported missing this evening has been located.

Around 6:40 p.m., LPD Chief Troy Jerrell advised the GCDW that a 2-year-old child was missing from the area of Southwest E Street, and not long after reported the child has been located.

Jerrell explained the child had a small motorized vehicle, like a 4-wheeler in the back yard, and drove it behind a vehicle on the property. The child then reportedly crawled into the trunk of the vehicle.

While looking for the toddler, a family member noticed the child's toy behind the car, and found the child in the trunk.

The child was being checked out by healthcare professionals, but did not appear to be physically hurt.
