Worthington Tri Kappas visit WRV Elementary
It’s Tri Kappa week in Worthington, and in what has become an annual tradition, the ladies of Worthington Tri Kappa visited the second grade class of Debbie Nolting at Worthington Elementary to create some holiday fun. Nolting is a Tri Kappa member herself and always enjoys the fun her civic sisters bring to the classroom.
This year, members Susan Bays and Pam McKee brought materials for every second grader to use in the construction of Valentine’s Day cards. Each student made two cards and the Tri Kappa ladies gifted each student with a new 24-count box of crayons as well as decorative stickers.
Bays read to the class from a book which illustrated the consequences of telling lies, and all of the students agreed that lying is a bad idea.
After constructing their cards, Bays led the class in a round of “Let’s go on a bear hunt,” and everyone had a good time visiting with the ladies.
Tri Kappa is a nonprofit philanthropic organization with chapters throughout Indiana which aims to bring women into close, unselfish relationships for the promotion of culture, charity, and education.
