Greene County EMA Director Roger Axe has declared a Level One Advisory for roads in Greene County until further notice.

According to the County Travel Status map by the Department of Homeland Security, an advisory is defined as meaning, "Routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas because of a hazardous situation, and individuals should use caution or avoid those areas."

Around 5 p.m. Tuesday, March 20, the National Weather Advisory issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Greene and other counties, predicting a possible 1-2 inches of snow, along with slippery road conditions and blowing snow decreasing visibility. Snow is expected to continue falling until 2 a.m. on Wednesday, March 21.
