Joan Bryant, 83, of Solsberry, was reunited with her beloved husband on Monday, April 9, 2018 at Stonecroft Health Campus. She was born on Oct. 29, 1934 in Solsberry, the daughter of Harley and Ara Johnson.

Joan was a 57-year member of the Eastern Star. During her tenure, she was a Past Worthy Matron, Former Grand Representative of Oklahoma and Past District Deputy. Joan also was a member of Solsberry Christian Church. She enjoyed quilting and was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joan is survived by her daughter, Patti (David) Burch; son, Garry (Cheryl) Bryant; grandchildren, Matt Bryant, Sue Burch, Kenny (KelliAnne) Bryant and Joanna Nordhoff (Jeff Voors); great-grandchildren, Mia Duhon, Lennon Martin, Taylor Bryant, Mason Bryant, Austin Bryant, Corrina Nordhoff and Ella Nordhoff; and sister-in-law, Nancy (Jerry) Stailey.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband of 63 years, Donald “Don” Bryant; grandchildren, Neal Eric Burch and Jeremy David Burch; siblings, Jessie Whaley, Kenneth Johnson and Robert Johnson; and beloved dog, J.R.

Joan’s family will receive friends at Allen Funeral Home and Crematory, 4155 S. Old State Road 37, Bloomington, from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, April 12, 2018, with an Order of Eastern Star Service at 7:30 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Friday, April 13, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home, with visitation one hour prior to service.
