LINTON: Power line across highway, avoid road

UPDATE: As of 8:16 p.m., the road is now reopened to traffic.

According to an 8 p.m. Nixle alert by the Linton Police Department, there is a power line laying across the northwest section of SR 54. Officials ask that everyone avoid travelling on or near that road.

Around an hour earlier, LPD also alerted the public to a power outage from 12 Street Northeast to 1000 West.
