GCDW Pet of the Week

Friday, March 8, 2019

Our Pet of the Week this week is Bear. Bear is a four-year-old German Shepard mix. He is neutered, house trained, heartworm negative, current on shots and will be microchipped. The staff at the Greene County Humane Society said ABSOLUTELY NO CATS around Bear because Bear considers cats a delightfully tasty treat as well as a scourge on the planet Earth that must be eradicated at all costs. Bear is also not-so-great around other dogs so he would be a perfect companion for someone with no other dogs who considers cats a scourge on the planet Earth and/or is allergic to cats. It is evident that Bear may have been a rebellious biker-type in a past life. Bear can sit, lay down, speak and shake hands but Bear will only shake hands when Bear feels like shaking hands, so maybe not the best pet for a politician. At 70 pounds, Bear can pretty much do whatever trick he wants at any given time. The fee to adopt Bear is $125. For more information, contact the Greene County Humane Society at 812-847-4780. The Greene County Humane Society features our Pet of the Week each week by hanging special “superstar” lights around his or her cage.
