Jasonville prepares to light up the night

Tuesday, June 23, 2020

Coronavirus will not stand in the way of Independence Day celebrations in Jasonville this summer. The Jasonville Area Chamber of Commerce has announced it will be hosting a fireworks show Saturday, July 11. Food vendors are welcome, and will be charged a nominal fee of $30 each. These combined fees will go towards the cost of purchasing fireworks. According to their Facebook page, the organization has placed donation containers at various businesses in the area, including Jack’s Place, Rash Hardware, Twist & Shake, Northwest Bank, Friendly Porch Gas Station, Pizza Villa and Casey’s. In addition to the food vendors, the Jasonville Area Chamber of Commerce will also be cooking out of their tent. The celebration will be held at Hannah Field after dusk.
