Bloomfield School Board prepares for upcoming school year

At Thursday’s Bloomfield School Board meeting, low student enrollment dominated the discussion. Reportedly, current elementary student enrollment for 2020-21 is at one-third of the school’s average enrollment of 450, with approximately 260 students who have not yet registered. At the time of the meeting, 40 elementary students had registered for remote learning, 150 had registered for in-person classes, and 20 students had withdrawn. Bloomfield JR/SR High school had 152 students opting for traditional learning, 26 remote, and 3 for online learning through Plato courseware.
