Lyndell Guy Fuller
Lyndell Guy Fuller, 70, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020. He was born July 1, 1950, in Herrin, Illinois to Kenneth Eugene and Bonnie Louise (Stilley) Fuller.
He graduated from Johnston City High School in 1968 and was a proud member of the 1st graduating class of John A. Logan Jr. College in 1970. In 1966, Lyndell began work for Phillips 66 owned by CR Browning, managing the station for four years. Lyndell married his wife, Sharon Lee Kelley on Jan. 8, 1971, and worked for Freeman Coal Company from 1971 - 1974. He then went into business with Terry Watson and opened a business, Precision Machine and Tool Co in Marion, Illinois.
In 1980, he moved his family to Linton and went to work for Dale Bland Enterprises running a coal washing plant he had designed. In 1983, he opened his own business and serviced area mines before going into a full-time business known as System Engineering Consulting Company (SECCO). In 2003, he moved to Gilbert, Arizona and went to work for XTEK Mining Services and worked for them until 2008 where he went to work for Haver Boecker Grand Canyon-WS Tyler of Canada until his retirement in 2016. He had over 45 years of experience in the mining and minerals processing industry.
Throughout Lyndell’s life, he was brought up in the church where his family was very active in music in ministry and leading music at various revivals. He was raised in Cedar Grove Methodist Church and Parish Park Baptist Church. He was active in his church his entire life as he was the Minister of Music at Parish Park for approximately three years before moving to Linton. In Linton, he was a member of the First Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon, Youth, and Minister of Music, later attending the Linton First Christian Church. In Gilbert, Arizona, he was a member of Church on Mill and attended Gateway Fellowship Baptist Church and Sun Valley Community Church. Upon moving to Evansville, he became a member of Oakhill Baptist Church.
Lyndell enjoyed being involved in his community being a member of the Rotary Club, Optimist Club, Civitan Club, School Board and Chamber of Commerce all of Linton. He was an avid worldly traveler with his travels taking him to places including China, South America and Canada. He enjoyed spending time with his daughters and their families and attending all the activities his grandchildren were involved in. He was thrilled to pass on to his children and grandchildren his love for music. He also enjoyed spending time with close friends playing games and cards. After moving back to Indiana, he enjoyed spending his winters in Arizona and most recently in Florida camping with friends.
He was preceded in death by parents; maternal grandparents, Guy and Mary Francis Stilley; paternal grandparents, Rev. Walter Clayton and Jesse Etta (Geer) Fuller; and brother, Kenneth Eugene “Gene” Fuller.
Lyndell is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sharon (Kelley) Fuller; daughters, Dr. Kelly Lynne Cunningham (Dr. Aaron) of Martinsville, Nicole Anne Ruble (Tony) of Washington, and Wynter Dawne Deckman (Ryan) of Evansville; grandchildren, Zander, Linley & Levi Cunningham, Gabriel & Emmanuel Ruble, and Brayden, Taylor, & Adyline Deckman; brother, Marvin Fuller (Pearl) of Rochester, Illinois; sister-in-law, Elaine Fuller of Mt. Vernon, Illinois; several nieces and nephews; host father of Mamiko Hirai of Sendai, Japan, Ewelina Sikorska of Warsaw, Poland, and Anna Ihloff Hoffmann of Hamburg, Germany.

A Funeral Service will be held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at Oak Hill Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Alan Scott with burial in Oak Hill Cemetary. Friends may visit Monday 4 – 6 p.m. and Tuesday at noon until service time both at the church.
