A Bedford man is facing criminal charges in Greene County.

According to a probable cause affidavit filed by Officer Janzen Franklin of the Linton Police Department, the department was contacted by a Linton resident who reported a missing wallet. In addition, one of the credit cards contained in the wallet was showing two unauthorized transactions from two gas stations located in Bloomfield. According to the affidavit, the victim last recalled having their wallet at a Linton gas station on Jan. 5.

Upon inspection of the gas station’s surveillance video, Officer Franklin observed the victim pulling up to a pump and dropping an item before driving away. Surveillance captured another vehicle pulling up to the pump before picking the item up from the ground and heading east on State Road 54.

Using footage from the locations of the unauthorized purchases, The Linton Police Department posted photos of the suspect on their social media page.

As a result, two individuals contacted the Crimestoppers line and identified the suspect as Tab Morris, 48, of Bedford.

Morris was arrested at the Linton Police Department on Sunday. He faces two counts of fraud, a Level 6 felony, and one count of theft, a Class A misdemeanor.
