CARE to host Easter-themed painting fundraiser
CAnine REscue CARE Inc. is planning an eggcellent public painting event at Jasonville’s firehouse this spring. According to board member Gloria Marlowe, CARE has hosted a handful of similar events in the past. “A lot of them are holiday-themed. The last one we did was in December, we did an adorable snowman.” For the first event, Marlowe said she visited the homes of local residents and took paw prints. The pet’s prints were then used as a template for flower art. At this season’s fundraising party, Marlowe will lead participants in the creation of an Easter sign featuring four sweet ‘Peeps’ bunnies. Supplies are available for $35 per person and refreshments will be provided. Peeps of all ages are invited to hop on down to 235 Cook St. in Jasonville on Sunday, March 28 at 2 p.m.
