Jasonville Area Chamber of Commerce holds first Easter ‘storywalk’

The Jasonville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted its inaugural “Hometown Easter Storywalk” Saturday, March 27 from noon to 2 p.m. During the event, area residents read “There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick” by Lucille Collandro as they strolled down Main St. with the Shakamak Good Samaritan retirement community handing out treats to passersby. The walk ended with a visit from the Easter bunny at Jack Ridinger Memorial Park and a ribeye lunch. According to Event Organizer Morgan Sparks, the Chamber raised $2,000 from the ribeye sale between Friday and Saturday.
