City of Linton announces scheduled power outage April 28

The City of Linton Electric Department will have a scheduled power outage on Wednesday, April 28. The outage is scheduled to begin at 12 a.m. and last approximately four to five hours. Below is a map of the affected areas. “We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your cooperation and understanding as the city continues to make necessary improvements to our electric grid,” said a statement from city officials.

  • I understand the need to keep our electrical system in good working order. The question I have is why do these events always seem to happen in the early morning hours when people are trying to get ready for work? Seems in an area where jobs are scarce the city would at least take this into consideration when making these arrangements.

  • No matter what time this is executed, people are going to be inconvenienced. They are doing it in the middle of the night for goodness sakes. Be happy our city is working to improve what we have!
