Good Samaritan resumes in-person visitation

Residents at Good Samaritan Society—Shakamak Retirement Community are now able to visit with loved ones in person, for the first time in over a year. Social Services Director Sharon Sapp said daily in-person visitation has been in place for the past two weeks. Linton resident Ed Guthrie is among the first to enjoy face-to-face visitation with family. On Thursday, Guthrie visited with his mother, Good Samaritan resident Barbara Mason. Upon entering the building, visitors are screened for COVID symptoms and required to follow guidelines. For now, visitations take place in designated areas of the facility. Guthrie praised the staff at the facility throughout the pandemic, saying, “I’ve been very fortunate to have you gals here. Real lucky.”
