The Bloomfield Apple Festival Committee is once again sponsoring the Light up the Park and the Third Annual Lighted Parade.

• Light Up the Park

The Bloomfield Apple Festival Committee will accept donations of at least $50 for lighted trees in memory of a loved one, or to honor a business, club or church. The deadline to sponsor a tree is Nov. 17. Trees will be lighted Nov. 28 after the Lighted Parade. Last year's event featured 36 trees.

• Lighted Parade

Get out the decorations and light up your bicycle, golf cart, SXS, jeep, tractors and floats for the Lighted Parade. The parade begins at 6 p.m. If you would like to participate, please arrive around 5:30 p.m. on South Franklin Street by the Library Annex. The route for the parade will travel west down Spring Street and end at the town park. Contact Kris Jarman at 812-325-1998 or Darla Chesnut at 812-381-3475 for more information.

The parade will start at the corner of Mill Street and S. Franklin Street, will travel up S. Franklin St and turn left onto Spring Street ending at the Bloomfield Town Park. It's the Apple Festival Parade route backwards. Following the parade, the trees will be lit for Light Up the Park.
