Linton Chamber lauds parade ambassadors

The Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce and the Linton Freedom Festival Taskforce are pleased to announce that the Linton Freedom Festival Ambassadors for 2022 are the Linton-Stockton High School state finalists in track and field and golf. Representing Miner Golf during the Freedom Festival Parade will be Andy Clark. Clark, a senior, is the first Miner golf state qualifier since 2016. Clark’s run to state finals included a hole-in-one at regional play. Representing Miner Track and Field will be state qualifiers Drew Smith, Sophie Hale and Becca Robbins. Smith, a senior, competed at state finals in the shotput and discus. He finished 14th in shotput and 20th in discus. Hale, a sophomore, competed at state finals in the 100 meter hurdles and finished 26th overall at state finals. Robbins, a freshman, competed in the discus. These Linton-Stockton Miner athletes will be recognized during the Linton Freedom Festival Parade. The 2022 Linton Freedom Festival Parade will be held Monday, July 4 at 10 a.m. in downtown Linton.
