The Linton Fall Arts Festival, on hiatus for the last few years due to the restrictions of the COVID-19 pandemic, will return this year on October 8, much to the delight of its new organizers, The Carnegie Arts and Heritage Center of Linton.

The event will feature vendors, food trucks, inflatables in the KidZone, kid’s activities, live entertainment including the Linton Choir and The Shane Lunsford Band from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. and an all-day backyard BBQ contest with tasting beginning at 4 p.m..

“Kathy Matthews coordinated the event quite successfully since its inception in 2012,” said Carnegie Board President Bri Karazsia. “After the postponement of the festival for a few years, she felt it was time to ‘pass the reins’ and she contacted the Carnegie Board. She continues to play a vital role in helping us plan this event as we continue to grow the festival from her success.”

The Carnegie is a nonprofit, and need’s the people of Linton to make the event successful, Karazsia said.

“We are looking for vendors and sponsors currently. Sponsorships help with the rental of inflatables for the Kid Zone, tables and chairs for our food court area, Port-o-Potties, the event stage and the acquiring of entertainment for the event. All donations are tax-deductible.”

The event will take place on 1st Street and East Vincennes Street from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m..

Those interested in vendor space at the event will find a link at the end of this story or by scanning the included QR code. Early-bird pricing is available until July 30.

Vendor space is offered to those selling food, direct sales, art and crafts and more.

Set-up must be complete by 9:30 a.m. on October 8 and volunteers will be available to help with set-up and take-down. Take-down will begin no earlier than 4 p.m. and a $25 refund will be given to all vendors who comply with the guidelines.

Vendor spaces will be marked and a map will be sent to each approved vendor. Payment is required to hold vendor space. The Fall Festival Committee is not responsible for any lost or stolen items and all vendors are responsible for their own trash and area clean-up. Large boxes should be stowed beneath tables and not where they can be hazardous to or impede walkers. Again, a $25 refund will be granted to all vendors who remain until clean-up time at 4 p.m.

Booth sizes and pricing are as follows:

• Single booth, 10 x 10 $75

• Double booth or boutique trailer $100

• Food truck $100

• Nonprofit/not selling-will be contacted by a board member for clarification.
