Gene Russell Warren

Gene Russell Warren, age 90, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 17, 2023, at IU Health Bloomington Hospital. He was born on July 7, 1932, the son of Lloyd Warren and Evelyn Warren. Gene served his country during the Korean War. Gene owned a roofing business for several years. He also enjoyed farming.

Barbara Warren (Hasler), age 88, of Bloomington, passed away on June 8, 2021, at Hearthstone Health Campus in Bloomington. She was born in Newberry on July 23, 1932, the daughter of Paul Hasler and Irma Hasler (Whitehead). Barbara was a bank teller for many years. She enjoyed spending time with her family and loved her Schnauzer pups. Barbara and Gene loved spending time boating on the lake.

Gene and Barbara are survived by Bob Warren, brother of Gene and very special friend, Steve Warren. A celebration of Gene and Barbara’s life will be held on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, at Fairview Cemetery in Linton at 11 a.m.. Family and friends are welcome to join and share memories. Arrangements have been entrusted to Welch & Cornett Funeral Home.
