Nancy Ellen (Trueblood) Malone

Nancy Ellen (Trueblood) Malone, 74, of Bloomfield, formerly of Odon, passed away on Wednesday May 24, 2023 at her home.

Nancy was born on October 10, 1948 in Raglesville, at home, to Carl and Donna (Farren) Trueblood. She was a Raglesville Rocket, Odon homecoming queen and graduated from Odon High School.

On October 8, 1966, Nancy married the love of her life, William “Bill” Forest Malone of Odon and was married for 47 years until his passing. Nancy worked for RCA, Crane Navy Base and lastly Greene County Soil and Water Conservation Service but her most important job was being a mom of two daughters, Cami Dona and Erin Michelle.

Nancy loved to garden, go to auctions/flea markets, decorate her home, spend time with family and friends where she was well known for her noodles but more importantly, she loved to spoil her grandsons.

Those left behind include her daughter, Cami Dona (Malone) Mattingly; sons-in-law, Larry Mattingly and Scott Oliphant; grandsons, Luke Edward Oliphant, all of Bloomfield and Lawrence Andrew (Drew) Mattingly of Bloomington; sisters, Patty Malone of Newberry, Linda Horn and Diana Sheetz of Odon; brother, Howard (Linda) Trueblood of Odon; brother and sister in law, Ernie and Brenda Malone of W.V.; nephews, Kelly Malone, Derek (Tonya) Sheetz, Jesse (Brandi) Trueblood, Adam (Kacie) Trueblood, Larry Strauser and Wes Malone; nieces, Kim Horn, Lisa Sheetz (Mitch) Seymour, Stacy Trueblood (Jimmy) Dean, Christy Trueblood (Bob) Beuhler, Cassie (Braden Pence) Trueblood, Sharon Malone (Tony) Schreiber and Tammy Malone.

Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Donna (Farren) Trueblood; her in-laws, Ernest and Hazel Malone; one brother, Mike Trueblood; brothers-in-law, Jim Malone, Ed Horn, Keith Sheetz and Donald Strauser; sisters-in-law, Susie (Beasley) Trueblood and Darlene (Malone) Strasser; nephew, Bill Horn; daughter, Erin Michelle (Malone) Oliphant; and husband William (Bill) Forest Malone.

Services will be at Lester Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield on Thursday June 15, 2023 from 3-6 p.m.. People are encouraged to stand and share stories of Nancy’s life or cards will be provided if you would like to leave a memory for the family to read later.

Nancy and Bill will be joined together and the family will bury their ashes at their daughter Erin’s grave, at a later date.
