The WRVSD is proud to introduce Mr. Zack Waggoner as the new principal at White River Valley Middle School for the 2024-25 school. Waggoner, the current principal at Princeton Community Middle School of the North Gibson School District in Southwestern Indiana, comes to WRV with outstanding credentials.

Originally from Linton (2004 graduate), Mr. Waggoner has held administrative positions at Washington Community Schools—Dean of Students at Lena Dunn Elementary—and Princeton Community Middle School—principal and assistant principal. He previously served as the Social Emotional Learning Specialist and Special Education teacher at Cedar Hall Community School in Evansville.

Mr. Waggoner earned his Master os Science in Administration and Supervision from Ball State University in May, 2014. He completed his undergraduate work at Vincennes University majoring in Elementary Education and Special Education. He is a member of the Indiana Association of School Principals and the Indiana New Administrator Leadership Institute.

“I am pleased to join the Wolverine family, “ stated Mr. Waggoner. “WRV is known for its creative approach to educating students, and I really look forward to working with such an outstanding faculty to give our students continued tremendous educational programming. After interviewing with the various entities in the district, I knew this was a place I wanted to be in taking the next steps in my career.”

The administrative opening was made available with Mr. Mitch Hobson’s move to the role of superintendent for the 2024-25 school year. “I am really pleased to get a person of Mr. Waggoner’s caliber to work with our outstanding students and faculty,” stated Hobson. “WRV MS is a great place to be.”
