Helen Louise (Keller) Gardner

Helen Louise (Keller) Gardner, 85, of Worthington passed away at 7:35 p.m. on Monday, July 22, 2024 in Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes.

She was born May 3, 1939 in Worthington to Jewell Keller and Anna (Loveall) Keller.

Helen married James Roy Gardner on October 17, 1959, he passed away on September 13, 2021.

Survivors include her children, Denise R. Ingle (Rick) of Worthington, James T. Gardner (Kim) of Coal City and Roy E. Gardner (Joyce) of Worthington; 12 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; sister, Connie Bland of Princeton and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild; one sister and five brothers.

Helen worked at GE in Linton until she retired. Helen loved to crochet and do needlepoint. She enjoyed working with her flowers and in the garden. She loved spending time with her family and loving on the grandkids, great-grandkids and great-great-grandkids.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street in Jasonville. Visitation is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024 at the funeral home. Services are immediately following at 2 p.m. with Pastor James Phipps officiating.

Interment will be at Peavey Cemetery in Jasonville.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Helen L. to the Alzheimer's Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
