The Annual Pregnancy Choices banquet conducted Tuesday night at the Greene County Extension Service Community Building was a time of laughter, joy, hope and success. The program highlighted the impact the organization has made in the past decade of its service to the community. Last year, there were 515 client visits to the facility located at 74 West Vincennes Street in Linton. Pregnancy Choices offers counseling and mentoring services striving to the be first choice for women and men facing unplanned pregnancies. Pregnancy Choices offers support for those struggling to meet the material needs for their babies and offers educational assistance to parents to improve their parenting skills. The banquet featured Mike G. Williams, a nationally-known speaker, writer and comedian, who had the capacity crowd rolling with laughter for nearly 60 minutes. His story had a serious side as he explained about being an adopted child himself from the Gary, IN/Chicago area. Today, he is a adopted parent of a son -- a heartwarming story of love and passion.
