Linton Park Board members Bob Evans, John Cotter, Janette Evans, Stacy Burris and Grace Cross covered Humphreys Park in Linton with eggs Saturday in preparation for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. Areas were roped off for kids ages 0 to three, four to six, seven to 12 and special needs. At the sound of a horn, the kids stampeded, gathering up thousands of eggs. Some of the eggs contained coupons for Wendy’s, McDonald’s and other restaurants while others were empty. After the hunt, kids lined up at the park stage to collect their share of over $1,000 worth of chocolate and other candy and to greet the Easter Bunny.
