Two children were injured in an accident involving two vehicles in front of Eastern Greene High School on Sunday afternoon. David M. Owens, 7, and Bradlee L. Carter, 6, both of rural Bloomfield, were transported to IU Health Bloomington Hospital by ambulances from the Greene County Ambulance Service, one with minor bleeding of the mouth, the other with a contusion to the left eye...

A crash near the Lighthouse Junction east of Switz City resulted in a fatality on Tuesday. The accident occurred at 11:55 a.m. on State Road 54 west of the State Road 57/US 231. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Shawn Cullison, the investigating officer, reported a large commercial truck, pulling a pickup truck, was eastbound on SR 54 when the truck left the south side of the road. The truck then over-corrected, crossing both lanes, then ended up coming to rest on its side, striking a guard rail...
