Derek Brock Workman, 24, Solsberry, was arrested on a warrant issued for burglary and theft. His bond was set at $19,000 surety with ten percent allowed. Greene County Sheriff's Deputy Jeff Brown was the arresting officer. Donald Lee Andrew, 47, Bloomfield, was arrested on the preliminary charges of battery resulting in bodily injury and interfering reporting a crime. ...

Linton -- The third annual Linton Farmers Market will be held on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Linton City Park, starting Saturday, May 30 and running through September 26. For the last few months, the market has been gearing up for another bountiful season of fresh, local fruits, vegetables and homemade goods...

On Saturday, one City of Linton mayoral candidate will be elected to kiss a pig. The four candidates running for Mayor of Linton this May - Linda Bedwell, John Correll, Bill Mason and John Wilkes - have all committed to participate in this contest to benefit the Mayor's Youth Council. Also on Saturday, the 40-pound pig will be raffled off to benefit Greene County 4-H.....

Robert L. (Bob) Hendrix, 82, of Sullivan, Ind., passed away on April 8, 2015 at Breckenridge Health and Rehabilitation. He was born to Zadock and Maryllis (Huffer) Hendrix in Carroll County, Indiana on June 11, 1932. Robert dedicated his life to being an educator. ...

Kanova Kathleen Wines, 84, of Lyons, passed away Tuesday, April 7, 2015 at her residence. Born July 9, 1930 in Sandborn, she was the daughter of Chester and Hazel (McArtor) Bradfield. According to a statement released by Linton-Stockton High School principal Nathan Moore, Canine units conducted a routine sweep of school property Thursday morning. "For the safety and welfare of all of our students, and as a part of our regular safety initiative, law enforcement and the canine division made a sweep of our campus for controlled substances," Moore said in the statement. ...
