Thursday, September 17 An Evening with Joe Robinson will be held at the Bloomfield Public Library from 6-8 p.m. Mr. Robinson will be playing and giving instruction on the dulcimer. Thanks to reaching its target student enrollment, the Dugger Union Community School Corp. Board of Directors brought an additional English teacher into the fold. Dugger Union Community School Assistant Principal Darin Simpson said that Nathan Hedrick was hired as a high school English teacher during the board's business meeting Monday because the number of students enrolled warranted the additional staff.....

Evelyn Justus, age 85, of Linton, passed away at the Indiana Masonic Home in Franklin. Funeral service will be held at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, Rev. David Atkins officiating. Burial will follow at Switz City Cemetery...

Wanda Gabbard, age 89, of Midland, passed away at 3:41 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 16, 2015, at Regional Hospital in Terre Haute. She was born in Linton on May 25, 1926, the daughter of William & Ethel (Lawson) Abercrombie. Ethel spent her working years cleaning homes for others...
