SWITZ CITY – When the Linton-Stockton Miners and White River Valley Wolverines got together Saturday afternoon at Switz City basketball took a back seat to more important concerns. Seconds before the opening tip-off, White River Valley public address announcer Jimmy Beasley, Sr. - the father of Wolverines coach Jimmy Beasley - suffered a medical emergency and was transported to Greene County General Hospital. ELNORA – The fifth girls basketball sectional title in school history was not to be for the Linton-Stockton Lady Miners. The North Knox Lady Warriors ended the third quarter on a 9-2 run to take a two-point lead. The Lady Warriors then wrested control of the game from the Lady Miners.
