Wagler Motorsports in Lyons will be hosting this year’s Scheid Diesel Extravaganza, making this the first year for the motorsports event to take place in Greene County. Debbie Crowder, General Manager for Scheid Diesel, says the event started in 1997, in Effingham, Illinois as a Turbo Diesel Register rally for Dodge Cummins Trucks. On Wednesday, Gov. Eric Holcomb gave a press conference to address the current state of Indiana’s COVID-19 cases and response. A few weeks ago, Holcomb announced that they are in the process of getting masks and hand sanitizers out to all Indiana schools. Bloomfield building soccer one season at a time

Growing soccer in Greene County is not an easy task but that is exactly the challenge at Bloomfield, the only local school to have both a girls and boys soccer team. Ryan Lawrey coaches the girls and Andrew Bladen coaches the boys as 2020 is the third year the Cardinals have had split soccer programs. Both coaches have had to deal with recruiting kids to play, followed by the growing pains of teaching them the sport. Lawrey has just enough players to deploy a full team...
