TERRE HAUTE – Linton-Stockton's Miners dropped their first game of the season in the Wabash Valley Classic on Saturday night with a 53-50 loss to Greencastle.. Linton-Stockton now falls into the consolation bracket, and will be in a three-team pool with Terre Haute North and North Central. The Miners play at Terre Haute North at 1:30 p.m. on Monday in a rematch of the last two championship games, and then against North Central at Terre Haute North at the same time on Tuesday...

It is incredibly rare for a small-town high school to have a 20-game win streak going in any sport. For that sport to be high school basketball in Indiana is truly remarkable. Linton, however, went even further. They had the win streaks in both girls and boys basketball at the same time...

Nanette Marie Goodman, 62, of Dugger, passed away Thursday, Dec. 24, 2020, at her residence. She was born in Sullivan, on Sept. 8, 1958, the daughter of Kerman Lovelace and Nancy (Lehman) Lovelace. Nanette was a RN for Southern Care Hospice. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Dale Goodman April 13, 1997, and a sister, Melissa Chapman...

Willie Johnston Lardizabal, 95, of Bloomfield passed away Friday, Dec. 25, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family. Born Nov. 4, 1925, in Manila, Philippines the daughter of Mont and Rita (Aspacio) Johnston. Willie came to the United States from the Philippines and went to Washington University St Louis and graduated with a Degree in Nursing in 1952. She married Jose M. Lardizabal on Nov. 4, 1956, in St. Louis, Missouri...
