Community Notes Friday, February 16 The annual Marsh Madness Sandhill Crane Festival will begin with the Friday Kickoff Dinner, silent auction and live auction at the Linton Elks Lodge. Doors open at 5 p.m. and a full buffet dinner will be served at 6 p.m.. Wayne Fred Markle, age 71, of Linton, passed away peacefully at 12:58 p.m. on Thursday, February 15, 2024, at Glenburn Home in Linton. He was born in Colorado Springs, Co. on October 3, 1952, the son of Wayne E. and Joan (Hartman) Markle. Fred was a 1970 graduate of Linton-Stockton High School and attended Vincennes University for Business. ...
