Voters can vote absentee
Candidates are still slowly filing for their opportunity to be on the ballot for the May primary. However, as of this morning no candidate had filed for the position of Linton mayor.
Linton mayor Jimmie K. Wright announced in The Daily Citizen last month that he will seek re-election, but has not yet made that decision official.
Today is the first day the Voter Registration office can accept applications for absentee ballots. If you are not registered to vote you have until April 7 to get registered.
The first day candidates could file at the Greene County Clerk's office was on Jan. 22. They have until Feb. 21 to file.
