Thank you for

your support

To the Editor:

The family of Mary "Nanny" Zaayer wishes to thank all of you for the cards, calls, visits and prayers during her illness and passing.

A special thank you to Jenkins Funeral Home for their beautiful service, The Residence at McCormick's Creek for all their care, Bloomfield United Methodist Church and the Rev. Kevin Raidy. Vista Care Hospice Group, friends, neighbors, and especially our children and grandchildren for all your caring and support.

Her long illness and passing have been a very trying time, but it makes us happy to know that she is where she wants to be.

Many helped following accident

To the Editor:

I would like to thank everyone for all their kindness shown to me and my family since my accident.

The area churches for their cards, prayers and fruit baskets for the holidays, and the wonderful group of ladies from the Son Shine Shop for taking over and doing a great job.

My appreciation is so great for these ladies who give their time and talent to give the community a place to go in times of trouble and need. God bless you.

Thank you to everyone who sent cards, called or visited, because these things all mean so much.

National Athem gets a failing grade

To the Editor:

Super Bowl 45:

* National Anthem grade -- F

* Halftime entertainment grade -- F

My teen age granddaughter does an excellent job on the National Anthem. Maybe they should hire her and eliminate the costs involved.

Maybe next year, in Indianapolis.
