Dear Editor:

The Lions Club of Worthington sincerely appreciates all who attended our annual Pancake breakfast on Saturday, August 31st, during the Worthington Yard Sale day. It is our major fundraiser for the year and we had a successful event. Thank you to those that made donations at the breakfast. We also appreciate the very generous support from the community yard sale vendors for their donations.

A special thanks to Debbie Cundiff and Jessica Hamilton for their help in procuring those donations. The Lions Club is an International organization, with local chapters, that relies on community support for our fundraisers and our membership. The Lions Club of Worthington has been an active local chapter for over 65 years, and new members are welcome. The meetings are held each first and third Tuesday at 7:00pm at the Municipal building in downtown Worthington. We hope to see you at the next meeting. Sincerely,

Peg Wolfe

To the Editor:

The Marco United Methodist Church would like to thank the numerous people that helped our church make the fish fry successful on September 28. Thanks to Buck Mullis for providing a tent for our fish fryers. Thanks to Rick Baker for providing everything to fry the breaded fish. Gary Bradfield and Bobbie Wines were great fish fryers. Thanks to all of the youth that helped with serving the meal and cleaning the tables and everyone that assisted in getting food ready and working during the fish fry.

Thanks to the singers who provided beautiful gospel music during the fish fry: Saving Grace (Bridget Francis, Ariel Jones and Logan Lee), Briana Osmon and Elaine Dayhoff.

Thanks to everyone who came and supported our church by purchasing meals and giving donations. God bless you!

To the Editor:

I would like to thank the staff at Hidden Hills golf course on behalf of the Eastern girls golf team and the Eastern athletic departmet. This is our third full season and we are showing improvement every year. The numbers in our program are growing and we expect more success. I would like to thank Bill C. Brown (owner) and Ron Dinges (golf pro) and the staff for making this great facility available to us.

Thank you

Mike Caldwell
