Clothe-a-Child/Toys for Tots applications available

Applications for the Greene County Clothe-a-Child and Toys for Tots program are now available.

The Linton Civitan announced Monday that applications for low-income families to obtain clothing and toys for their children at Christmas can be found in five Greene County locations.

• Greene County Division of Family Resources, located at 104 County Road 70 East in Bloomfield

• Linton-Stockton Chamber of Commerce, located at 159 First St. NW in Linton

• Bloomfield Town Hall, located at 12 E. Main Street in Bloomfield

• Jasonville Utility Office, located at 304 W. Main Street in Jasonville

• Worthington Town Hall, located on State Road 67 by the fire station in Worthington.

Applications will be available from Oct. 1-31.

“Families living in Greene County school districts who meet income guidelines are eligible to receive benefits for children 12 years old and under. Families who are approved will get vouchers to shop for new clothing for each eligible child and a selection of toys will be provided,” a press release explains.

The applications must be returned to the above locations or postmarked by Oct. 31. Send applications to PO Box 516, Linton, IN, 47441.

“Families will be notified by email early in December indicating whether their applications are approved,” the press release states.
