Police request public’s assistance in locating wanted felon

Sullivan County Sheriff Clark Cottom of the Sullivan County Sheriff’s office has requested assistance from the United States Marshals Fugitive Task Force, in an effort to locate a man wanted on multiple warrants in Sullivan and Crawford Counties. The man, Dalton Hood, 21, of Crawford County, Illinois, is wanted on weapons, drug and theft charges. Hood is considered to be armed and dangerous and has a prior conviction of armed robbery. Hood is a suspect of multiple vehicle thefts in Vigo and Sullivan Counties and was reportedly seen in the Prairie Creek/ Farmersburg area as recently as last weekend.
