The Hendricksville Area Association will be holding a fundraiser breakfast at the Community Center in Hendricksville from 7- 10 a.m.. We will be serving breakfast. Proceeds to benefit the Children’s Christmas Party.

Saturday, June 5

The American Legion Auxiliary Unit 479 of Lyons will hold their monthly breakfast from 7-11 a.m.. Menu includes sausage or bacon, eggs fixed your way, biscuits and gravy, hash browned potatoes, pancakes or French toast, coffee and juice. The public is welcome and invited to attend.

Sunday, June 6

You are invited to join Pregnancy Choices in our building dedication ceremony at 3 p.m. at 1759 E Highway 54 in Linton.

There will be a short ceremony and an opportunity to tour the new building. An invitation to partner with us financially will be presented.

Tuesday, June 8

The National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) Bloomfield Chapter 0847 will meet at the Casa Sevilla Restaurant in Bloomfield at 11:30 a.m. The guest speaker will be Kathy Jones from Vincennes with the Generations program. All Federal employees, retirees, and spouses are invited to attend.

At 7 p.m., registered Dietitian, Tracey Linneweber will present the program, “Diet and Lifestyle Management of IBS” at Worthington Library. Seating is limited to 15. Please bring a face mask in case you are required to wear one. To register call (812) 875-3815.

A Veterans’ Aid and Attendance presentation will be given at 6 p.m. at Parkview Village, located at 800 S. West St. in Odon. The presentation is special benefit for war-era veterans and their spouses. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 812-636-3000.

Fit Kids is new for 2021. Join TeamOrtho’s certified Athletic Trainers for our Fit Kids program. For grades k-6, have fun and increase your physical activity. Grades k-3 will meet every Tuesday morning beginning June 1 – July 27, 2021.

Meeting at Humphreys Park in Linton (not meeting June 29, 2021) from 9 a.m. – 9:45 a.m. and grades 4-6 will meet on the same days from 10 a.m. – 10:45 a.m. To join, sign up on Greene County General Hospital’s website under TeamOrtho: greenecountyhospital.com/teamortho. TeamOrtho is hosting a Senior Fit and Fun Program for ages 50+ this summer on Tuesday mornings beginning June 1 – July 27, 2021 (not meeting June 29, 2021) from 8 a.m. – 9 a.m. at Humphreys Park in Linton. Join TeamOrtho’s certified Athletic Trainers to improve your flexibility, heart health and endurance while enjoying social time with friends, snacks and prizes. Newberry Town Council meetings are the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the town hall. If it is a holiday, the meeting will be the next evening, Tuesday at 6 p.m. Year-end business, December 30, 2021 at 6 p.m. Newberry Town Hall 430 Broad St. (St Rd 57).

The Linton Public Library will host a summer reading program entitled “Tails and Tales” from June 14 to July 23. The program is for kids, teens and adults. Full Life Development, a non profit organization that serves disadvantaged communities in Northern Thailand, is taking orders now for flowering potted plants that will be ready in May. The arrangements are perfect for outdoor decor or Mother’s Day gifts. Each pot is $18. Prepaid orders may be sent to: FLD Potted Plant Sale, First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 431, Bloomfield, IN 47424. Orders must be picked up at Bradfield Landscaping at 1767 US231,Bloomfield. Pick up times are Friday, May 7 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday, May 8 from 9 a.m. till noon.
