Monday, August 30, 2021

MSD Shakamak Schools Superintendent Jeff Gambill confirmed Monday Shakamak Schools will be closed for the next 14 days due to a close-contact situation affecting the entire student population.

“The Greene County Health Department contacted us and told us about the situation, and said we would have to close to observe the 14-day quarantine period,” Gambill said. “The students have taken their Chromebooks home and will be e-learning during this time period.”

GCDW Shakamak Sports Correspondent Lacey Stone reported all Shakamak athletic events have been suspended until Sept. 13.
