Helen A. Fulk

Helen A. Fulk, age 103, of Worthington, passed away peacefully at 6:37 a.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2023, at Owen Valley Health Campus in Spencer. She was born in Patricksburg on March 3, 1919, the daughter of Charles and Mary (White) Mayrose.

She was a wonderful homemaker for many years and she was a devout member of Dutch Bethel Church of Christ in Arney and Worthington Church of Christ where she was a Sunday school teacher and helped with vacation bible school in the summer. She was known in her community for growing a lovely garden and beautiful flowers as well as taking homemade pies to folks who were homebound and those in need.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Karen Fulford of Worthington; granddaughters, Melissa Ferguson of Worthington and Shawna (Kim) English of Worthington; great-grandchildren, Cassie Campbell, Eli (Liz) Carpenter and Samantha Carpenter as well as several great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 61 years, Orville P. Fulk; grandson, Todd Fulford and siblings, Charles Mayrose, Clarence Mayrose, Emerson Mayrose, Florence Knust and Kathleen Hodson.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Worthington on Saturday, January 14, 2023 with her grandson-in-law, Kim English officiating. Burial will follow at Worthington Cemetery in Worthington.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of service.
