County under tornado watch until 5 p.m.

Wednesday, April 5, 2023

The National Weather Service has issued a tornado watch for 32 Indiana counties, including Greene, Daviess, Martin, Sullivan and Knox.

A hazardous weather outlook remains in effect until midnight.

A line of thunderstorms will continue to move across central Indiana through mid-afternoon. Damaging wind continues to be the main threat with this line of storms, but a few tornadoes are also possible.

Outside of thunderstorms, winds gusting to 45 mph are expected today.

Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects, tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.

Brief wind gusts to 60 mph are possible. Structures weakened by last Friday`s

storms may be more susceptible to damage.

Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high-profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.
