Michelle (Yoder) Sears, from Linton, has been missing along with her ex-husband Rodger Sears since Friday, April 21.

Neither has contacted or attempted to contact any family members since that date, and police have released very little information other than a press release stating “Michelle Sears has been reported by family members as missing. Sears was last seen at a residence on County Road 1375 West near Linton on April 21, 2023. Prior to leaving on April 21, Sears stated she was going to Terre Haute, then mushroom hunting with Rodger Sears.”

Michelle’s mother, Shirley Hobbs of Linton, says she is worried sick, and rightfully so.

“This is totally out of character for Michelle,” Hobbs said. “She has three children and she would never go without contacting them. Something is wrong, and we are hoping and praying she’s okay at this point.”

According to a post on social media written by Rodger Sears’ sister, Amy Bowers, on Thursday, April 27, the two were at her home in Linton April 21 and haven’t been seen since.

The duo is reported to have been seen last in Michelle Sears’ gray 2015 Toyota Prius bearing license plate number XOI617.

Any information about Michelle (Yoder) or Rodger Sears’ location can be provided to the Greene County Sheriff’s Office at 812-384-4411. The investigating officer for this case is Zachary Goad.
