Brenda Sue (Wilkins) St. John

Brenda Sue (Wilkins) St. John, 57, of Russellville, formerly of Jasonville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at Hendricks Regional Health Hospital in Danville, after an eight-month battle with stage 4 liver failure.

Brenda was born on August 8, 1965, in Omaha, Neb., to Jack and Frieda (Allen) Wilkins. She is survived by one daughter, Jessi Harden, and her husband Kevin; four grandchildren, Haylee Harden, Cody Harden and Cielo Rodriguez, Kippton Griffith and Jacalyn Swick; and one great-grandchild, Waylon Smithey.

She is also survived by sisters, Debbie and Bill Kennett of Jasonville, Mary Wilkins of Indianapolis, Mona and Jerry Stewart of Jasonville and Terrie and Dave Briley of Clay City; brothers, Bill and Robin Wilkins of Linton, Mike and Alicia of Jasonville, Randy and Linda Lambermont of Brazil, Richard Wilkins of Indianapolis and Robert Wilkins of Indianapolis; sister-in-law Sandy Lambermont of Jasonville and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends, including two amazing best friends of over 30 years, Cheryl Bonham and partner Mark of Greencastle and Rhonda Buell of Muscatine, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by both her parents and stepmother June Wilkins; son Jacob Bennett and brothers Ed Lambermont, David Wilkins and Rod Lambermont.

Brenda enjoyed being outdoors, and especially loved horseback riding, fishing, camping and gardening. While she marched to the beat of her own drum and oftentimes lived life on the edge, she truly had a heart of gold and could make friends anywhere she went.

Per her wishes, cremation will take place by Halo Cremation Services in Columbus and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date for family and close friends.
