Keep it cool in Greene County

Greene County Health Department and Greene County Emergency Management Agency are teaming up to meet the challenge of this oppressive heatwave for the citizens of Greene County.

“Fans will be available in Greene County,” Shari Lewis, Greene County Health Department

Administrator announced today. “Fans will be provided to senior citizens and those at risk first come, first served at the Greene County Health Department at 217 E. Spring Street in Bloomfield from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning Thursday, July 27.

This is part of the Health Department’s continuing commitment to serve the people of Greene County and help out during the current heatwave.”

Greene County Emergency Management Agency Director Roger Axe had another announcement.

“A cooling center will be open in Bloomfield on Thursday, July 27 only, from 8 a.m. to 3

p.m. It will be at the Bloomfield Community Building at 498 North Lincoln Drive, across from the Bloomfield Pool.”
