Randall Scott Blake, 58, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii on June 10, 1965 and died on August 28, 2023 at his home with his wife in Bloomfield.

Randy and Melissa (Missy) were high school sweethearts and were married in June of 1986. They built an amazing life together and brought two daughters, Chelsea Blake and Abigail Blake-Parcels, into the world.

Robert Leone and Charles Parcels joined their family as well as many grandchildren, Madalynn Carmichael, Aliyah Carmichael, Hannah Carmichael, Colten Whelchel, Juniper Parcels and a soon-to-arrive new grandbaby; and his bonus grandchildren, Brandon and Molly Leone, Kohen and Noelle Parcels, Cadence, Corbin, Cambria and Caine Whelchel.

Randy worked hard all his life building businesses, relationships and legacies. He volunteered many hours as the commander of the Sons of the American Legion Post 196 and was also a member of the Linton VFW Auxiliary Post 7118, Greene County Shrine Club Zorah Shrine Temple and Indiana Free Masons Bloomfield Lodge 84. Randy loved camping, fishing, hunting, spending time with his family and riding his Harley.

Randy is survived by his wife Melissa Blake; daughters, Chelsea Blake (Robert Leone) and Abigail Blake-Parcels (Charles Parcels); many grandchildren and his siblings, Craig Blake and Alma Blake.

Randy was preceded in death by his parents, Gladys and Larry Blake; and grandson, Colten David Scott Whelchel, his namesake.

Friends may gather at 10 a.m. on Friday, September 1, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home in Bloomfield. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday at Jenkins Funeral home with Jim Blackmore officiating. A Celebration of Life will follow at the Bloomfield American Legion.

The family wishes any memorial donations in Randy’s name be given to the Sons of the American Legion or the American Legion Riders.
