William C. Franklin

William C. Franklin, age 74, of Linton passed away peacefully at Majestic Care in Terre Haute on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 with his family by his side . He was born in Linton on June 8, 1949, the son of William Franklin Sr. and Betty Jean (Yates) Franklin.

William was a mechanic for John Deere for over 49 years.

He enjoyed working in his wood shop, building, caring for his flower garden and model cars. He and his wife enjoyed traveling and looking at horses.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Laverne Franklin; son, Patrick (Laura) Franklin of Terre Haute; granddaughter, Hannah Claire Franklin; siblings, Nancey Maegerlein of Williams, Edward (Karen) Franklin of Linton and Virgil (Cheryl) Franklin of Linton; special sister, Debra Franklin of Fort Wayne; extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; infant grandson, Jon Michael Franklin; brother, John David Franklin and sister, Elizabeth Franklin.

Private funeral services will be held.

Arrangements are in care of Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton.
