Dennis W. Rogerson

Dennis W. Rogerson, 78, of Jasonville, passed away at 3:52 p.m. Wednesday, November 22, 2023 at Shakamak Good Samaritan Center in Jasonville.

He was born February 14, 1945 in Linton to Earl Rogerson and Martha (Bitz) Rogerson.

Survivors include his children, Lora Fougerousse (Troy) of Jasonville and Bradley Rogerson of Jasonville; grandchildren, Ashley Kramer (Kurt) and Casey Fougerousse (Adam); great-grandchildren, Kash Kramer, Preslee Kramer and Paislee Kramer; brother, David Rogerson (Joyce) of Jasonville; nieces, Krista Parsons (Adam) and Michelle Edwards (Nathan); great-niece, Olivia Parsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Sharon Grace Rogerson; infant nephew, William Earl Rogerson.

Dennis graduated from Jasonville High School Class of 1963. Dennis worked as a Journeyman Electrician through IBEW Local 725 for over 50 years, retiring in 2010. He also was owner/operator of an over-the-road trucking business, leasing through Stoops Express and TB & P for a few years. Dennis had a passion for cars, he loved drag racing and restoring cars. He also enjoyed construction and was a good carpenter. He and his son built several projects together, including his home.

Arrangements are entrusted to Michael W. Cox, Cox Funeral Home; 218 South Meridian Street in Jasonville. Visitation is scheduled from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2023 at the funeral home. Services are immediately following at 8 p.m. with Pastor Sam Bush officiating. In keeping with Dennis’s wishes, cremation will be scheduled.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in memory of Dennis to the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes are available at the funeral home.
