Bonnie Levene Goble Huff

Bonnie Levene Goble Huff, 96, passed on to eternal life on December 10, 2023, at Harrison Crossing Terre Haute, previously living in Sullivan. She was born April 3, 1927, to Charles and Ressa Goble in Curry Township, Shelburn along with her brothers and sisters. Bonnie was married on August 1, 1948 in the Sullivan Christian Church to Loren Buddy Huff.

Bonnie graduated in July 1946 from Smart Appearance School of Cosmetology in Terre Haute. She owned and operated a home beauty shop for 40 years, where her customers were like her family. Bonnie was known for her caring spirit and being a fantastic cook. Bonnie enjoyed flowers, gardening, cooking and playing cards (mainly Bridge). It was a special evening when the Bridge ladies got together to play cards.

She and Bud were active members of the Sullivan Elks Club and the First United Methodist Church. Bonnie helped organize many bazaars and church dinners. Bonnie was a 75-year member of Eastern Star.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters, Betsy Milner (Joe) and Lorie Ullmer (Dave); daughter-in-law Sherry Huff; grandchildren, Jennica and Katera Huff, Alan Milner (Bridgett), Adam Milner, Amanda Russell (Shawn), Matt Ullmer (Morgan) and Melissa Ullmer and great-grandchildren, North and Quorra Milner, Connor, Madison and Claydon Milner, Luke and Phillip Huff, Karson Russell and Mason Ullmer.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Loren (Bud) Huff; son Lawrence (Larry) Huff; siblings, George, Norma, Paul, Ann Lee and special friend Jack Tislow.

Services will be at Holmes Memorial Chapel in Sullivan on Saturday, Dec. 16, with visitation scheduled for 10 a.m. and funeral to follow at 12 p.m. with Lance Newton officiating. Burial will be at Merom Cemetery. The family has kindly requested, in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to Sullivan First United Methodist Church.
