Carol Lynn Fry Smith

Carol Lynn Fry Smith, 73, of Scottsdale, Ariz., passed away peacefully from cancer on November 18, 2023 in Phoenix, Ariz.. Born on August 10, 1950 in Linton, Carol lived in Arizona for nearly 50 years.

Carol had a fulfilling career working in various management positions at US West and QWest telephone companies. She was known for her dedication and professionalism in her work.

Carol was a graduate of Indiana State University where she was a member of the Chi Omega sorority. She was very active in the Catholic Church in the Phoenix area and served as a care minister.

Before her health declined, she worked for Harkins Theatres which suited her well because of her lifelong love of movies.

Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Taylor Smith; her parents, Willard and Doris Fry and her brother, Robert Fry. She is survived by her sister, Sue Plummer and her nieces, Kristin Busha and Erin Huston.

A private ceremony will be held in Carol’s memory. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
