T. John Robinson

T. John Robinson, age 73, of Linton, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023, at his residence. He was born in Fort Wayne on October 3, 1950, the son of Walter Robinson and Frances (Rogers) Baske.

He loved Jesus and loved to talk about the Lord to his friends. He never met a stranger. Talked at Walmart or anywhere he was. He loved to sing and was the song leader at most of the churches he went to. He also loved to cook the main course when company came over and Melissa would make the rest. He could make great spaghetti and meatballs, chili and could make a delicious ham. He loved to make up silly songs and sing to Melissa just to make her smile. That would always make his day. He worked at Glenburn Home where he and Melissa met and fell in love. He also worked in home health care and Angell’s Food Center until he had to quit because of his health.

John is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Melissa (Moody) Robinson; brother, Charles Lynn; sisters, Cheryl Muller and Charlotte Smart; several nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a baby sister; sister Joan Lynn as well as a niece.

Funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton on Saturday, January 6, 2024, with Pastor David Ball officiating. Burial will follow at Lebanon Cemetery in Midland.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
