FREE ACCESS: Mobile Food Pantry, including baby food, set for Tuesday

Friday, January 19, 2024

A pop-up mobile food pantry will be offered at Humphreys Park in Linton Tuesday morning.

Beginning at 10:30 a.m. and continuing until supplies are depleted, Tuesday's event will, for the first time, offer baby food to those in need.

In past events, the mobile food pantry has helped up to 400 area individuals with a free boost to the pantry, including boxed meals, canned meats, pastries, breads and fresh produce.

There are no requirements and no forms to fill out, just showing up qualifies anyone for assistance.

The pop-up mobile food pantry is made possible by Greene County Health, Inc., Wendy Bailey and her crew of volunteers, Feeding America and community partners Meek Financial, the City of Linton, Linton Mayor John Preble, Shakamak Pharmacy and Shakamak Rehab Recovery and Therapy.

For more information, contact Wendy Bailey at 812-847-7005 or email wendy.bailey@gc-health.org.
